After waiting for three months, I got my first freelance Graphic design client!

I was emailing and sending dm to people before starting the startups. I did it for a month, and it was taking way too long, so I just stopped. However, I recall that I DM’d a store, and they replied after three months, telling me they needed a poster-type item in three hours.

So, as a good freelancer, I completed it and submitted it just in time. They need a few more revisions, and it’s done. At the end, I got the payment, even though it was 500RS, it was my first ever earned money from the internet as an eighteen-year-old.

This is how I got my first payment at the age of eighteen. This was a great experience for me and taught me that good things don’t happen in a blink or overnight , you need to have patience to get what you want. It really plays with yourself, how long you can wait to get it. An idea never fails, but the founder can.

How can I get my first client?

If you’re wondering, “How can I get my first freelance graphic design client at 18?” the answer is patience and persistence. Start by reaching out to small businesses through emails and direct messages. Even if they don’t reply immediately, your effort isn’t wasted—sometimes replies come weeks or months later, just like my first client did after three months. Delivering work on time, being open to revisions, and maintaining good communication are the keys to building trust and getting paid. This is how beginners can land their first freelance project and start earning money online.

Thank you for reading this, and I will keep updating with things that are happening.
